Liberalism: Naive or Diabolical

Standard

This past week brought with it another lesson for voters: take what you read and hear in the media (even some of the “Conservative” media) with ‘a grain of salt.’ Cases in point are the insinuations against Dr. Ben Carson and the consistent editorializing and misinterpreting of what he says.

As an example, Dr. Carson made the simple, logical statement that he feels that “the likelihood of Hitler accomplishing his goals” (the goal of exterminating the Jewish people, from the face of Germany and then from the world) “would have been greatly diminished if the people had been armed.”

It’s very hard for me to rationalize opposition to that statement. Carson was NOT saying that the Holocaust would not have happened. Obviously the power and armament of the German Army would most likely have eventually overwhelmed even the most well armed and aggressive civilian opponents of Hitler’s plans, Carson was simply voicing the common sense dictum that you have a much greater chance of not being defeated if you are equipped to fight back. The problem is, Ben Carson is trying to express this common sense to people who stopped listening as soon as he said the name ‘Hitler.’

Hitler’s name is a sore spot with people who support Liberal causes, especially gun control which was the particular Liberal cause that Carson was attacking.

“I’m telling you there’s a reason these dictatorial people take guns first.” Carson told Wolf Blitzer in the CNN interview.

The immediate problem with suggesting to a Liberal that gun control does not prevent murder, but instead prevents self-defense is that that fact (and it IS a fact) is an indictment of a core Liberal belief that guns are more dangerous than people; and more than that, it is an indictment of their beloved President Obama.

What, predictably, is the first thing that will happen after some crazy shoots and kills a group of people? Obama will be on TV calling for “more gun control” and either ignoring or dismissing the growing number of voices that are asking: What If?

WHAT IF there were guns being carried by one or more people in a group being attacked by a shooter? It will save many lives if the shooter is put down as soon as he shows his gun or at least immediately after his first shot.

WHAT IF  there were no “gun free zones.” It would prevent a majority of mass shooting attempts (by all but the most suicidal shooters) if it is obvious to a perpetrator that he will not be able to walk away from the situation.

Obama is a well educated man and a clever manipulator of people and situations. Don’t you think that he realizes that gun control does nothing but disarm the people who would not consider using a gun for anything but self defense or hunting?

Isn’t it obvious that that is exactly the point Dr. Carson was making with his Hitler analogy?

Time and time again President Obama has clearly illustrated his contempt for the Constitution, his disregard for National as well as personal self-defense and his determination to change the face of America.

America does not need a facelift! Nor does it need a Liberal successor to Obama, who will continue guiding America on the destructive course Obama has set for it.

In my opinion, what America needs is a president with common sense, a dislike of politics as usual, a disregard for political correctness, great respect for the United States Constitution and an unbounded dedication to restoring America to its former greatness.

In my view, there are only a few contenders for the presidency who fit that description. Watch the Liberal media (CNN, MSNBC and most networks) and you will see those few contenders regularly denigrated, dismissed and/or misinterpreted.

Airlines, Close the Gates! Ebola is Coming!

Standard

EbolavirusIt’s becoming more and more obvious that The American Health System in general is not prepared to safely treat someone with Ebola. If there was a good supply of this mystery drug that cured the first Ebola patient allowed back in the United States it would be a different story but there isn’t and the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) is apparently playing a guessing game when it comes to Ebola virus containment. There needs to be a lot more research done in that area. In the meantime we are all at risk!

More distressing than the Ebola patients that we know about are the ones we cannot identify. THAT will, eventually, unless serious and immediate changes are made, be the start of an epidemic that could easily ravage America and Americans.

Right now, according to news reports, about 150 people a day are being allowed into this country from areas of the world where there is NOW an Ebola epidemic, based only on their body temperature when they get on and/or off a plane. That could be stopped in a “New York Minute” by President Obama — if he wasn’t (in this citizen’s opinion) such an incompetent fool.

Since the President acts like he either doesn’t fully understand the risk or doesn’t care, the airline industry and the FAA need to step up to the plate.

The airline companies themseves can cancel all flights from Ebola epidemic areas, to not do so is criminally negligent. Major International airports can refuse to allow these flights to land. They are risking their employees lives and risking their reputations by ignoring an obvious autonomous action that, if ignored, could and will start an uncontrollable spread of the Ebola virus. They don’t have to wait until the president makes a statement or signs a paper. If the FAA tries to block that from happening they will be committing virtual agency suicide. A sixth grader could easily figure out that the safest course of action is stopping international flights (and cruises) from these countries, until the CDC has more correct answers and workable solutions, that is that safest course of action.

We as individuals can fight most of the problems caused by the Obama Administration, problems like crime caused by our shattered economy and by our lack of border security. For other problems they are causing the country we can go after the Administration legally (and also by voting many of Obama’s lap dogs out of office in three weeks) but the spread of a disease is almost completely out of our individual hands.

Remember, Election day is Tuesday, November 4!

Striking ISIS! It’s a GOOD Thing!

Standard

ISIS, Hammas, AlQueda, the Islamic Brotherhood: All of these and all of the other drooling, irrational forces that constitute the evil known as radical Islam need to be removed from civilized society; indeed they need to be removed from the world and allowed to travel to their lusted after “Paradise.”

These humanitarian acts of violence needs to be carried out before the insanely evil imams and clerics can convince even one more person that murdering innocent people in the name of a jealous, blood-thirsty, possibly insane prophet will make this, in any way, a better world or enrich their life.

Note: If you want to know more about the Prophet Mohammed, start with the: “PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE OF MUHAMMAD”  written by Dr. Hafsa ‘bint Sharif, Ph.D. http://www.allaboutmuhammad.co

Meanwhile here in the United States:

“No more boots on the ground” is the pathetic call of those who are willing to allow these radical Islamic animals in the Muslim world to continue running roughshod over common sense, common decency and civilized behavior. “No more boots” is the call of those who have given up on the hope that the United States will ever again become a strong leader and a strong force for good in this chaotic world. Pacifists, i.e., those Americans who believe that the United States is not worth saving and who would allow the United States to be conquered without another “shot being fired,” cannot be allowed to direct our national dialogue or our long-term destiny out of their fear.

You are certainly aware that radical Islam is at war, right NOW, with the United States as well as with every nation that does not bow down to Islamic principles. They fired, if not the first shot in the war on September 11, 2001, the most damning. You also must realize that this and every great nation was founded amid the violence of war, with the blood of patriots and enemies fertilizing the ground at the end of every battle. The United States has never been and I’m confident will never be a nation of cowards without principles. Certain American political forces however are attempting to push us in the direction of unprincipled, cowardly behavior and it would be wise to remember, if they are allowed to succeed, this nation will be conquered from within as effectively as we would be at the hands of a superior fighting force. In the words of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, This is a danger that I’ve been pointing to. It’s not a spin.  It’s not a whim. It is a clinical diagnosis of a pathological movement that is sweeping our area but will soon come to a theater near you.” The Prime minister was speaking to you and me in an exclusive interview with Fox News. Take that to the bank: Radical Islam is spreading and right now, thanks to he fear and lack of foresight by the United States the only one effectively trying to stand in the way of this plague is Israel. Hopefully that will change before radical Islam does indeed come to a “theater near us”.

Big Questions:

The biggest questions in the Middle East are: Do all Muslims, in their hearts, believe that the way to heaven is to kill all non-Muslims? I’m sure ALL Muslims do not believe this but if they don’t, where are their voices? Why are all but a very few Muslim clerics and organizations so quietly accepting of their radical brothers behavior? Are they dead inside, do they not have consciences? Or are they just afraid to speak out because they know that the governments of most Islamic-majority countries either support the murderous ways of radical Islam or are so cowardly they will not protect moderates from the radical elements within their religion?

Surprise!

Yesterday President Obama surprised me and I imagine the majority of Americans, by allowing airstrikes against the religious zombies who call themselves ISIS; I would have never thought that he had the guts to actually call for a strike against ANY radical Islamic force. Up until now I was actually convinced that, in his heart at least, President Obama was one of ‘them’ not one off ‘us’. Why would I think any differently? Since President Obama took office he seemed to be setting us up for a new form of government, one that is ruled by chaos if by nothing else and he has been a master at turning a blind-eye toward the pure, pustulent evil of radical Islam.

But now this!

From the LA Times : “In a statement issued Friday morning, the Pentagon said two F/A-18 Hornets dropped laser-guided bombs on artillery that had fired on Kurdish forces near Irbil, the Kurdish regional capital. The attack occurred only hours after President Obama announced he had authorized airstrikes to protect about 100 U.S. military advisors in Irbil and to halt the advance of the Islamist militants.”

It’s sad to say that President Obama’s actions against an obvious evil have surprised me. This fully justified act of force by the Air force of the leader of the free world should have been expected not surprising. I have to wonder if President Obama would have authorized such a bold act as targeting ISIS artillery if we did not have U.S. assets and people right in the path of ISIS. I believe, however, he might have — and I base that only on the fact that President Obama is a politician before he is a president. Showing some aggression against the obvious evil of radical Islam; while it is apparently against President Obama’s nature, is the politically savvy thing to do.

In fact, just a stray thought, during President Obama’s last two years in office he just might actually start thinking more about his legacy, his reputation. If he does, he might start acting like the president of all the people, not just the president of the people on the political far Left. He might actually start acting like the president of the most powerful, most benevolent nation on earth.

Happy Thought of the Day!

If the 2014 elections go the way I am hoping they will go, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi will become minor historical figures who can no longer protect the president from making the hard decisions. They will no longer be there to stop legislation from getting to the president — Harry Reid’s desk may suddenly become as empty as . . . well you know what I was about to say.

Come on America, “Grow a Pair”

Standard

I’m sure that millions of Americans are as pleased, as I am, to see Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, an American POW, released from Taliban custody after 5 years of what must have been pure pain and misery.

The swap of Sgt. Bergdahl for 5 pieces of uncivilized trash does not bother me that much, it just gives us five more Taliban targets; and I sincerely hope we have snipers in position, ready at the first opportunity to blow the tops of the heads off of the released prisoners AND their Taliban escorts. These people, the Taliban and their sympathizers, are truly sub-human and need to be hunted like any other uncaged predator would be. That however is just a fantasy as long as we have eunuchs in the White House administration.

If the White House was staffed with real American patriots and not left leaning quasi-Americans, Sgt. Bergdahl’s rescue (or at least an attempt at a rescue leaving behind hundreds of Taliban bodies) would have taken place over 4-1/2 years ago.

Yes, Bergdahl may have been killed in an attempted rescue but, like every soldier in the past 40 years who volunteered to serve in the military (in July it will be 41 years since the draft ended) he must have realized (as I did in my day) that death is a very real possibility during an armed conflict with the many enemies of the United States. I hope every kid who is contemplating military service is MADE to be aware of that fact!

Quoting the Huffington Post : Since late 2001, “at least 2,169 members of the U.S. military have died in Afghanistan as a result of the U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan.”

It is interesting to note that in the world outside the military, during a shorter period of time (2000 – 2010)  there were over 165,000 murders in the U.S.. Based on these facts, it may be suggested that it’s safer to be in Afghanistan, in the military, than in many places in the U.S.. (Perhaps that is because, in the military, you are encouraged to carry a weapon! You think?) . . . but that irreverent supposition begs the question.

Is there a better way to face our enemy than putting “boots on the ground”? You bet there is. I know that with the technology available today, we could send a missile smack dab in the middle of any Taliban (or Al Qaeda) tent, cave, stronghold or training camp. That kind of approach, however, at least in the last couple decades, has it’s drawbacks. Mainly it encourages the powerful friends of our enemies to return the favor, and right now, due to the intentional erosion of our self-defense capabilities, put in place by those aforementioned eunuchs, it may be a very dangerous strategy that we are not prepared for.  We need to get prepared!

In the future, IF the U.S. military’s defense capabilities were to be restored by the American public and some real Patriots were put in place in the legislature, the White House and the Supreme Court, and if we could actually stand behind a firmly stated self-defense policy without the spokesperson’s knees knocking (a policy something like my personal “I Have No Other Cheek” Policy (see below)), we may be able, in just a few years, to instill an understand in our enemies that messing with the United States of America and our allies would be dangerous to the health of their nations.

I Have No Other Cheek, is such a simple and straight-forward self-defense policy, I reduced it to a Haiku (nonstandard):

==============================
I Have No Other Cheek

I’m a simple man
With a simple belief
Do onto others
As they’ve done to you.
==============================

Note that this is not a threatening policy that would encourage a “pissing contest” (excuse my language), it is simply a statement of personal intent and warning to those who would attempt to do harm to me or my circle of friends and family.

I repeat: Come on America, “grow a pair”

On a related note: every country in the world (not just the U.S.) needs to be rid of all nuclear, chemical and biological weapons. I don’t have any idea how that might happen but it MUST happen if the human race is to survive outside of remote caves and urban shelters. I’m too old to worry about the personal consequences of that NOT happening but those of us who have extended families with younger family members should, in the words of a Hollywood script writer for the movie “The Fly, “Be afraid! Be very afraid.”
