Rand Paul’s Great Idea!

(Actually the idea was the brain child of Senator David Vitter (R-Louisiana) but Rand Paul is running with it.)

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) is pushing a constitutional amendment that would eliminate special exemptions from Federal Laws for all federal employees. This would force all federal employees to use Obamacare exchanges for their health insurance.

In a statement to the Daily Caller Senator Rand said:

”See, right now, Justice Roberts is still continuing to have federal employee health insurance subsidized by the taxpayer, and if he likes ObamaCare so much, I’m going to give him an amendment that gives ObamaCare to Justice Roberts.”

Ask yourself, why were all federal employees exempted from Obamacare in the first place? Why were so many others in private industry exempted? Finally, did the law want to force EVERYONE on Obamacare (except for those special people who were exempted) whether they wanted it or not? Whether they NEEDED it or not?

The answers are obvious! “Special interests” are partially in control of the White House and Obama has his own agenda which includes making all American citizens, not just the ‘poor and disenfranchised’ totally dependent on the Federal government.

I have absolutely no hope that Rand Paul will win this battle and get the amendment passed into law but the important thing is that he is proving his point! Most of the members of Congress are in this business for themselves, not for the people they represent; the same can be said for Chief Justice Roberts and the majority of the Supreme Court Justices. They are all ignoring the will of the majority and the will of the majority is supposed to control Washington, not the other way around which now seems to be the case.

Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are watching out for US while most of the rest of the federal government are just watching out for their own rear ends.
